近年來，全球LED 光源市場在一般亮度LED 成長率已逐漸持 平，但高亮度LED 市場則加速成長，並帶動整體市場成長率。台灣 的LED 照明光電產業才剛興起，目前的產品以路燈、景觀燈及裝飾 燈為主，而LED 照明模組正快速發展，將來可望成為主要產品。我 國的LED 照明光電產業在上游的元件有50 餘家廠商，中游的模組與 下游的系統應用，合計有近二百家的廠商。2008 年我國LED 年照明 產值460 億台幣；其中LED 產值為全球第2 位，產量則占全球第1 位；LED 路燈的技術也達國際水準，這兩年業者透過政府的LED 照 明政策，發展全球唯一LED 路燈標準，擴大內需及LED 道路照明節 能示範計畫，加速商品化的時程，同時，LED 背光商機，為2009 年 起產值成長的主要因素。
