Light
(electromagnetic) spectrum, line spectra and continuous spectrum: from
Newton's analysis of daylight began to the nineteenth century did not,
spectrum analysis technology is quite mature, and there is a very
important discovery; majority of the "light" (later Ray injection,
synchrotron radiation and other "high tech" single frequency light
source other than proximity), in spectral analysis below, are very
mixed. (1) (then) all of the light of the "ingredients", can be divided
into line spectrum and continuous spectrum of two parts. (2) continuous
spectrum only with the light-emitting body temperature, has nothing to
do with the object element. (3) line spectra of the components and
objects have a certain relationship. Elements is extremely clear and
sharp line spectrum can be used to test the existence of elements, and
even to speculate from its spectrum in the periodic table on the
position. The most famous example is a line from the sun, first find
the spectrum of helium, and then separated from the atmosphere in the
story. |
