The next generation of lighting plan " (Next-generation Lighting Initiative, NGLI) support. In addition, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) from 2006 to 2008, annually set aside 50 million U.S. dollars to support "next-generation lighting plan" for solid-state lighting-LED and OLED technology research and development, including finding ways to improve the efficiency of LED semiconductor materials, LED lighting structure and system improvements.
