Now almost all power systems are the use of alternating current (AC), so direct current (DC) LED lamps used in conventional converters must not only increase costs, the power conversion is also wear and tear. According to Industrial Technology Research Institute pointed out, AC LED will be compared to DC LED to save an additional 15% ~ 30% power. ITRI is to make breakthroughs in key technology AC LED micro-die process, the development of high-power single-die LED, in one square millimeter of the area inside the array of about 100 micro-crystal, the output power comparable with the size of large crystal tablets of DC LED increases by about 40% ~ 50%.
